Bringing back the T-style guitar of the 1950s and ‘60s, the T-Bone “Pennie” is a sophisticatedly posh classic, single-cut instrument. LsL cuts, carves, sands and details all of its guitars by hand using the best materials available. The luthiers build each guitar as if they were making them for themselves, ensuring that highest quality finish and tone for musicians. Nothing comes closer to a custom-built guitar.
The “Pennie” has a swamp ash body with a maple neck and walnut skunk stripe. The vintage-style pickups, slot-head screws, dome knobs and Gotoh tuners complete the classic look of the guitar. The T-bone’s neck is hand-shaped and the guitar has a thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, giving the instrument an airy, articulate tone. Don’t be fooled with “Pennie’s” light weight because she’s full of sustain and ultra-fast playability. As an added bonus, “Pennie” comes with a hardshell case.

Neck: Hand Shaped
Frets: LsL instruments all come with 6105 size frets. That is they are .090" wide and .055" tall. They are the perfect combination of width and height.
Body: Swamp Ash - Ash has a classic tone, like an old '52.
Finish: All LsL guitars are finished with Nitrocellulose lacquer. We mix our own colors and apply as thin a finish as possible and then hand-sand and buff. We then crack the finish to allow the guitar to sing and since the finish is so thin already we apply a little creative beating so it has that played hard, brought home sweaty (for many years), kind of feel to it. Each one is unique and has her own personality.
Bridge pickup: LsL Hand-wound, single-coil, vintage voiced OR LsL Hand-wound, P-88, hotter tone. Neck pickup: LsL Hand-wound, single-coil, T Bone neck pickup. This pickup has a rich, full tone.
Bridge: We use a standard, vintage-style plate and put on our own, LsL brass saddles, screws, and springs.
Electronics: We use CTS pots, fiber covered wire, and Mojo Dijon capacitors. We also use a 3/8" long bushing output jack to accommodate right-angle guitar plugs (ya gotta love that). An American-made, 3-way pickup selector switch. Our T-Bones are made with modern wiring which has one tone and one volume that work in each position.
Case: G&G U.S. made, hard-shell cases come with all LsL guitars.

(you have 14 days from the date of delivery until you notifiy us that you are returning your product) If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase from LAWK STAR Guitars you may return it to us for a full refund of the original purchase price. You must return the product in the original product packaging along with all included materials (manual, warranty card, all accessories, stickers, etc.) and in it's original condition. Any items returned in undesirable condition (scratched, nicked, or modified) may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25% of the purchase price or may not be refundable at all. This of course depends upon the damage and will be reviewed by management on a case by case basis. Your return should be packaged very carefully. You may choose your own shipping source (FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.). We strongly recommend some sort of tracking or delivery confirmation and insurance. We do not take responsibility for lost packages or damaged packages from shipping.
Most refunds will be process within 2 – 3 business days after we have received the product back. Please keep in mind some credit cards refunds may take up to 10 business days to post on the account.
SPECIAL ORDERS & DISCOUNTED / REDUCED ITEMS however are NOT refundable! Some may be available for an in store credit. This will be determined on a case by case basis, depending on the product, value, and situation.
In the event a product delivery is refused by the customer and shipment is returned to the LSG Facility, the cost of the return shipping charges will be withheld from customers refund. No exceptions.
Many shipments require a signature at delivery. In most cases the shipping company will try 3 times and if delivery is unsuccessful it is shipped back to the LSG Facility, the cost of the return shipping charges will be withheld from customers refund.
