Our Story
LAWK STAR, LLC. DBA LAWK STAR Guitars was officially formed in December 2012, however, it has been in the making for a very long time.
LAWK STAR Guitars' primary focus is Guitars and the Tube Amps that make them sound so great, Basses and Bass Amps, Acoustic Guitars and Acoustic Amps, Pedals, and of course accessories. Many of our special boutique pieces will not be found in most music stores and are not massed produced; however we do recognize that many mass produced products are fantastic as well and do have proven track records. We just want to sell great quality and sounding products.
LAWK STAR Guitars was honored to be named one of the TOP 100 Dealers for 2014 by the NAMM Association. We attended the awards banquet at the Summer NAMM Show in Nashville, TN July 18, 2014. At the banquet we were recognized as one of the TOP 3 Dealers for on line presence. We were also very honored to meet with so many wonderful reps and manufacturers while attending the Summer Namm Show. Oh and let's not forget all the great music. Brenda, Chief of Operations, was elated when she won an IPad Mini from D’Addario.
It was announced May 18, 2015 that LAWK STAR Guitars is on NAMM's TOP 100 list again for 2015.
The beautiful city of Portland, Oregon is home to LAWK STAR Guitars. Though we are primarily an ecommerce music store, we are open for business at our warehouse and studio located about 25 minutes from downtown. So if you are a serious buyer, live in the area or are visiting from out of town; please give us call and schedule an appointment to visit our facility. Come out and give that special piece of equipment a test ride in the comforts of our studio. Kick back, relax, shred and turn it up to 11 if that is your fancy. Have a beverage on us! We would love to hear about your background and musical interests because we believe your instrument is as unique as you are.
